The City of Wells Lions has had another busy day distributing leaflets in Wells for our Prostate Cancer Testing Day Wells 6th April.

To all of the retailers, coffee shops, cinema, library, town hall, barbers, pubs who have happily agreed to spread the word – a big thank you.

It has been interesting talking to people who know someone in their family who has had prostate cancer but I didn’t quite know the genetic connection with breast cancer.

Did you know? Men over 50 are 2.5 times more likely to get prostate cancer if their father or brother has had it or if their mother or sister has had breast cancer?

Statistics aside, men are often reluctant to face medical issues so it’s important we give someone we love a nudge.
